Business Intelligence Consultant


Deep expertise gained in prior roles will enable you to consult/advise on the best ways to build high impact visualisations that are enabled by models that scale. Whilst these dashboards will vary in complexity, experience in complex scripting and data modelling will be essential, as will dealing with complex security models (row-level and object-level).

Required skills:Deep expertise in PowerBI (both desktop & cloud), ideally including:

  • Dataflow development
  • Complex and best practice data modelling (large and multiple datasets from various sources)
  • Object oriented-like measures adhering to agreed business logics
  • Advanced DAX syntax and PowerQuery
  • Security models
  • Advanced PowerBI visualisations and storytelling
  • Dashboard performance optimisation
  • Embed Python/R within PowerBI (desirable)
  • Skilled SQL scripter (complex SQL queries to pull and construct data for PowerBI consumption)
  • Experience with Business Objects (desirable)
  • Experience in HR domain (desirable)
