Join a team of experienced risk professionals and partner with our Commodities & Global Markets business to drive a strong risk culture across Technology.
Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets group provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities.
In this role, you’ll partner with Commodities and Global Markets teams to ensure that Technology Risk is managed effectively, in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies. You’ll work with the team to drive a strong, proactive risk culture and a clear understanding of the risk framework
You will work collaboratively with the Technology team and senior business stakeholders to identify operational issues and control breakdowns and advise on proposed responses. You will be involved in incident investigation, proactive controls assurance deep-dives, and risk workshops. The role will require you to conduct training and perform regular risk reporting, presenting clear and concise findings to the team and business leads.
To be successful, you will have Technology expertise with operational risk management, technology operations or assurance experience. Ideally, you will have experience gained in-house or working with clients in a professional services environment. Experience in Controls Assurance activities will be regarded. Recent experience in designing, implementing or assessing Public Cloud deployments (IaaS and PaaS) is preferred. Candidates with Institutional Banking or Markets experience will be well regards.
You will have the ability to think laterally, problem solve and grasp abstract concepts and complex situations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the capability to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding anticipated and emerging issues are essential. You will be highly motivated and comfortable working within a dynamic, fast paced, enterprise agile environment.
