Governance and Operations Compliance Manager

This is a great opportunity to join our Risk Management Group’s Compliance Governance and Operations team, where you will work across a diverse range of activities and projects to affect meaningful change. 

In this role you will:

  • Partner closely with Compliance stakeholders, using your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure Compliance policies remain fit for purpose in the context of our internal and external risk landscape and to improve useability for key stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for helping to drive initiatives which enable our people and develop talent within Compliance 
  • Work within the team to help improve reporting capabilities and utilisation of metrics to drive good decision making
  • Continue to develop the governance structures in place within Compliance

You will join a high performing team and will be required to work directly with senior stakeholders across Compliance and the Risk Management Group. 

To be successful in this role you will need an open and inquisitive mind, have great written and verbal communication skills and be able to build strong relationships across the organisation. You should be flexible, proactive and organised as you will need to be able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. It would be great to have fantastic policy writing experience and strong influencing skills. We are seeking someone who has the ability to comfortably network across the organisation and build a true business partnership.

About the Risk Management Group

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
