Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner - Technology

You will be focused on supporting the delivery of Banking and Financial Services Product & Technology strategy, in the Finance team of our retail bank, located in Barangaroo.

With the continued and growing investment in Product & Technology, you will be a true business partner and required to lean on your outstanding communication and relationship management skills to successfully partner and engage directly with senior stakeholders while providing valuable insights and analysis to help drive informed decisions. You will be responsible for reviewing, challenging, and reporting financial results within Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services division and Corporate Operating Group - Technology division.

In addition, you will be responsible for the following in your role:

  • You will drive, design, and deliver targeted analysis that provides meaningful insights into the Technology cost base and its relationship with business performance
  • Leverage the toolset to deliver cost, consumption, and performance transparency to Technology heads and Banking and Financial Services business
  • Identify opportunities to optimise the Technology cost base and provide its cost / benefit impact to non-technology cost base
  • Be accountable for the integrity of the Technology cost base and allocation model within Banking and Financial Services
  • Support the Head of Product & Technology, COO and Business Management team with commercial and financial modelling and analysis to support decision making
  • Be responsible to help drive and implement Finance process efficiencies and operational excellence

As a confident and driven individual, your attention to detail and demonstrated communication skills will help provide the platform for you to tell the story behind the numbers. 

To be successful, you will have a tertiary degree in Maths, Analytics, Commerce, or the like as well as completed your CA/CPA or equivalent. You will also have a minimum of 8+ years’ experience where you have demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, an ability to interrogate data, and ultimately be responsible for delivering actionable insights to a range of stakeholders.  

A background in finance or analytics from industries outside of financial services is entirely acceptable for this role. Experience working in a Technology organisation is preferred.
