Are you experienced using infrastructure-as-code on one of the major cloud platforms and interested in multi-skilling? New members are required for a growing DevOps team maintaining, operating, and extending infra-as-code cloud networking deployments and supporting applications for a global financial organisation.
Macquarie Group has a large cloud presence and with a “Cloud right” strategy it’s rapidly getting bigger. In this team you’ll be involved in some great projects with AWS, GCP, Azure and Private Cloud platforms all over the world. The team is currently based in Sydney and Melbourne and we’re looking to expand into Houston.
In this role you might work with our Architecture team to define standard deployments or collaborate with our Cloud platform teams to extend their network environments using Infra-as-Code and contribute to a shared codebase. Other days you might help businesses move their applications to Cloud by designing and implementing connectivity to internal services, third party networks, SaaS, WAN, LAN and Internet, or partner with our Network Automation team to provide self-service capabilities for our customers and zero-touch operational processes.
You will use Cloud Exchanges and direct connectivity from dedicated equipment located in well-connected Cloud Hub locations to minimise latency between Clouds and solve hybrid-cloud connectivity challenges while meeting our security standards. You’ll be part of a team deploying new security services, improving traffic visibility, going into new regions, doing traffic engineering, and creating new network perimeters in a multi-cloud environment. You’ll get to evaluate, develop, and deploy new solutions and processes to deploy network appliances in a CI/CD world.

It’s a new team and deep with networking skills so we’ll appreciate your experience with Terraform, scripting and Cloud platforms.
Experience is sought with any of the following:
· 5+ years relevant experience
· Cloud Ops: AWS, GCP, Azure, VMWare NSX-T, Terraform
· Development: Python and/or Ruby
