Risk Surveillance Product Owner - Data


Join a dynamic team within our Risk Management Group’s Enterprise Support Division, responsible for ensuring Risk Surveillance systems, data controls and data governance meet the risk requirements of Macquarie Business Groups.

As a Product Owner for Data within the Risk Surveillance ‘Products and Capability’ Team, you will be reporting to the Chief Product Owner, who is responsible for ensuring Risk Surveillance system coverage and capabilities remain fit for purpose to meet regulatory requirements and internal risk assessments.

You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data ingested into the datahub and ensure all consumers ongoing requirements are met whilst managing and coordinating the onboarding of new datasets used by Risk Surveillance into the data hub ensuring data under governance obligations are being met. You will also gather requirements for new data sets ensuring data is fit for purpose and work in partnership with RS Data & Models team ensuring data requirements remain appropriate to meet changing business risk profiles.

In this role you will also:

  • Support BAU production for existing datasets and use cases across Voice, eComms and Trade Surveillance.
  • Contribute to the design and monitoring of data quality tests and investigate and resolve instances of data quality issues.
  • Partner with upstream (source system) GDO and data owners and perform initial assessment of critical data items.
  • Ensure that business stakeholders, business owners and program teams are fully informed of the strategic RS data road map
  • Ensure Risk Surveillance data architecture is fit for purpose and assist Data Architects in design and implementation of data solutions

To be successful in this role you will need to bring data management and data profiling and sourcing experience with a good understanding of Risk Surveillance within a banking environment. You will also need do have a risk mindset and be able to design and implement data controls and have worked in an agile environment in the context of risk management within the Financial Services industry.

Your ability to display good judgement and possess strong analytical, investigative, and researching skills, coupled with managing multiple stakeholders across all levels will set you up for success in this role.
