This is a high profile role that will see you work at the direction of the trustee board and with our Wrap, Platforms and Managed Accounts and Wealth businesses to assist with matters of governance and compliance with the trustee’s fiduciary duties and protecting client interests.
The Macquarie Platforms have over $100 billion in funds under administration with over 2,500 investment options including unlisted managed funds, SMAs and listed securities and over 170,000 clients.
Utilising your previous experience in one or more of governance, risk, compliance, company secretarial, audit or product management you will be responsible for supporting the Office of Trustee in the governance functions of the Superannuation Trustee and its committees.
Your responsibilities will include;
- assisting with the enhancement and implementation of a governance strategy for the Superannuation Trustee that is focused on the delivery of quality member outcomes
- overseeing the presentation of governance reports to the Board, Forums and Committees
- working closely with the Platforms team to ensure the proper application of the governance frameworks and identifying and reviewing ongoing process improvements
- monitoring key policies and key frameworks and reporting on these to the Superannuation Trustee and other forums and leveraging reporting capabilities and data analytics to provide client, adviser and business insights
- assisting with regulatory interaction for the Macquarie Platforms, in particular with APRA
- responding to any other governance needs of the Superannuation Trustee, as its directors determine
We would expect you to have relevant governance experience and ideally prior experience working across multiple products in the financial services industry.
You are a highly motivated, and resilient individual with an ability to communicate governance and legal concepts and a proven track record of building excellent relationships at all levels.
