Senior Manager - Asia Employee Relations

Join our regional Human Resources team in Hong Kong as a Senior Employee Relations Advisor to provide legal advice and support around employment-related matters for Macquarie's businesses across Asia.

Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations for Asia and working with staff at all levels you will be responsible for offering comprehensive strategic employee relations advice.  You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including supporting the team with employment documentation for new hires, managing litigation and legal risks and advising around more transactional Employee Relations solutions including performance management, terminations, restructures and mergers and acquisitions.

You will also be responsible for partnering with HR Business Partners to assess and respond to ER matters specific to each business.  You will have oversight and representation of the Appropriate Workplace Behaviour and Equal Employment Opportunity policies, including managing complaints, employee consultation, investigations and determination of solutions/consequences as required. 

With a tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Law degree or equivalent strongly preferred), you will have proven experience of working either in private practice covering employment law or within a Human Resources function providing consultative Employee Relations advice to stakeholders at all levels.  You will have a minimum of five years of employment law experience with a general understanding of employment law frameworks in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and India.  You will have a high level of integrity, excellent attention to detail, flexibility in your approach to work, as well as the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
