Vice President, Projects and Change (Business Analyst Lead)


With a passion for driving mid to large scale finance change projects, you’ll have the opportunity to manage a high performing team of Business Analysts and work with various stakeholders across the business to drive efficiencies in Macquarie’s processes.

You’ll be responsible for the end to end management of mid to large scale finance change projects that are either governed by regulatory mandates or internal organisation priorities. You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of the project including requirement gathering, solution design, development, implementation, closure and benefit realization, as well as engaging with project managers and business subject matter experts to assist with the process.

You’ll manage a high performing team of Business Analysts and ensure that they deliver on stakeholder requirements through effectively setting and communicating expectations and key objectives, delegation and problem-solving for issues and challenges that the team encounters. You’ll be responsible for developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress and will be required to flag deviations and identify solutions to mitigate any risks. You’ll also continually seek to improve processes and adopt the best practices to enhance efficiencies and add value.

To be successful in this role you should have a tertiary qualification in a business discipline, CA will be considered favorably, as well as post-qualification experience of 14-16 years with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in business analysis, accounting and regulatory projects and finance transformation. Knowledge of different finance systems, databases and platforms, as well as financial services experience with a deep understanding of finance processes and systems will be considered favorably.

The Projects and Change team is accountable for providing a strong governance framework for projects across the Financial Management Group, ensuring strategic alignment and a common understanding of the drivers and outcomes for success. The team manages the pipeline of significant change initiatives, including budgets and ongoing control of projects.
