Our Macquarie Electronics team in our Structured & Asset Finance Division is looking for a highly enthusiastic, motivated individual to help manage our relationships with clients and suppliers. 

Joining as an Equipment Sales Executive in our Tokyo office, you will be responsible for the direct selling activities of all types of semiconductor related equipment. You will be forecasting and tracking sales to meet the quarterly and annual sales forecasts while achieving targeted revenue and profitability quotas for sales from your assigned customer base. In order to establish key customer relationships and an environment for future sales growth, you will be required to attend customer meetings, equipment inspections and corporate events as needed.

Additionally, you will help evaluate market trends and gather competitive information to identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability; all information you gather will be shared with the global sales management teams. In this role, you will partner with the equipment trading team in the development of key customer relationship management. Internally, you will also be establishing effective relationships and collaborations with other departments such as Operations, Products, and Sales support to address key business issues and opportunities.

Other responsibilities include maintaining competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies in order to sell value-add solutions to customers.  At times, you may be assigned to work on special projects where you will need to prioritise tasks effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives.

As a successful candidate, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the semiconductor industry with a good track record of achieving sales plans. Not only have you developed skills in change management, strategy development and project management, but you also have exceptional negotiation skills which will help you in direct sales. Your strong oral and written communication skills will allow you to effectively present information and negotiate with all levels of management. Business related computer skills include Microsoft Office Suite will be required and you will also be fluent in English and Japanese, both written and orally.
