Senior Reconciliations Administrator (6 Month Contract)

 

Position:  Senior Reconciliations Administrator (6 Month Contract) 

Department: Reconciliations, Operations 

Company: Macquarie Private Wealth Inc.

Reports to:  Manager, Technical Services 

 

Overview:

The Reconciliations Administrator will be responsible for preparing daily banking and clearing reconciliations and reviewing daily and monthly reconciliations submitted by other departments in MPW Operations.  The Reconciliations Administrator will be engaged in our ongoing initiative to improve our current reconciliation process and employ automated solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily banking and clearing reconciliations
  • Review daily and monthly reconciliations
  • Perform with accuracy and mitigate risk
  • Work with Finance Department to prepare monthly reports to regulators
  • Liaise with other Departments and outside financial institutions
  • Provide assistance during internal and external audits
  • Support teammates during peak times
  • Participate in cross training as required
  • Engage in improving current reconciliation processes

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2 years of brokerage or accounting experience
  • Relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Completion of industry related courses is an asset

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Work within time constraints and policies and procedures
  • Excellent PC skills including advanced Excel
  • Dataphile experience preferable
  • Exposure to TLM preferable
