Macquarie's Group Treasury Department is looking to expand its team with the addition of a Manager, Group Treasury to support the Banking & Financial Services Group (BFS) in North America.
Reporting directly to the Group Treasury Head supporting BFS in North America, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting on all Asset and Liability Management processes with particular focus on the management of the funding process, and the formulation and implementation of local Treasury Policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Work with the Liquidity Group in Group Treasury Sydney to formulate and implement of a local Liquidity Policy.
Ø Assist in putting in place other Treasury Policies as required under local regulations.
Ø Assist in the operation of the funding chain from short term warehousing to long term securitization for all Banking and Financial Services (BFS) Group businesses in Canada.
Ø Assist in the formulation of Interest Rate Risk hedging strategies for the BFS business in Canada.
Ø Assist in putting together the Canada ALCO pack and in recording the Canada ALCO minutes.
Ideally you will possess:
Ø Extensive knowledge of Canadian Banking regulations and OSFI guidelines;
Ø Proven ability to support execution of complex securitization/bond transactions in the North American market;
Ø Intimate knowledge of debt markets, financial instruments and rating agency structured methodology;
Ø Proactive treasury experience with the vision and ability to investigate and initiate creative solutions to challenging funding and risk management issues;
Ø Practical knowledge of accounting and taxation concepts as they relate to funding and risk management issues;
Ø Extensive industry contacts and networks;
Ø Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively persuade and influence on key policies and decisions;
Ø Solid team player with outstanding collaboration skills, and proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders to accomplish shared goals and manage expectations, including the ability to interface at the senior executive level;
Ø Excellent time management and organizational skills with flexibility in work approach, and ability to effectively manage competing priorities and timelines;
Ø Strong work ethic, self-starting nature and high energy;
Ø Very motivated and goal-oriented professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced, results-driven work environment;
Ø Post-graduate university degree in relevant discipline (Finance, Economics, MBA);
Ø Minimum 6 years of progressively more responsible Treasury experience working in a Canadian Bank;
Ø FRM, CFA, CA or similar designation is an asset.
