Analyst - Agricultural Commodities

Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities ("FICC") provides a variety of services across the globe with an underlying specialisation in interest rate, commodity or foreign exchange related institutional trading, marketing, lending, clearing or platform provision. 

As we continue to grow our operations, we're looking for an Analyst to join our Agricultural Commodities (AG) team.

AG provides risk management solutions, pre-export finance and trade financing programs for producers, consumers and trade participants in key markets. 

In this newly created role your strong attention to detail will see you investigate and resolve any issues affecting the AG daily profit and loss estimates, and you'll liaise with Traders, ITG, settlements and accounts to ensure the accurate reconciliation of the book.

Your strong research skill set will see you analysing new or existing products or companies, and undertaking significant data analysis including back tests of trade ideas. Your superior statistical and mathematical ability coupled with your strong Excel skills will see you construct excel tools that can be used to price structures or analyse data, and present these findings to senior management. You'll also be involved in the pricing and structuring of both simple and complex derivatives in support of marketers and traders, and will be involved in booking deals and the running of risk reports.

To succeed in this role, you'll have

-  strong research skills, coupled with superior excel skills and mathematical acumen

-  the ability to work independently, and communicate across different levels of management

-  a strong attention to detail, and solid problem solving skills

-  a demonstrated interest in commodity markets, trading or derivatives.

-  knowledge of MTS Explorer and/or VBA coding would be desirable, but not essential.
