Internal Mortgage Planner

Macquarie's Banking & Financial Services Group is building its team of the most respected professionals in the industry as it strives towards its goal of becoming the leading provider of financial products and services to Canadians.  To support its growth, Macquarie Financial Ltd (MFL) is seeking results-driven individuals to assume the position of Internal Mortgage Planner in our Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver offices.

Reporting to the Manager, Direct and Affinity, the successful candidate will work with Macquarie Private Wealth (MFL) to ensure exceptional:

•  Relationship Management - Be responsible for supporting mortgage referral opportunities from Macquarie Private Wealth.  Work with MFL's existing top broker partners when required to fulfil MPW client needs;

•  Sales and Service Management - Exceed established sales targets, efficiency ratios and client servicing scores.  Be a strong advocate for assigned customer base, ensuring opportunities and issues are brought forward to management;

•  Teamwork - Work with direct report and key team members such as broker distribution, marketing, operations and other business line leaders in strategically evaluating opportunities, identifying missed opportunities and suggesting innovative ways to attract customers and maximize sales volumes;

•  Customer Loyalty - Leverage Macquarie's brand, knowledge and experience to build customer and cross organizational loyalty and trust.  Promote Macquarie's mortgage products and services by providing training development for Macquarie's internal referral partners;

•  Results Reporting - Establish objectives and evaluate, budget, forecast and communicate all relevant financial and customer results metrics.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications will include:

•  5 years successful sales and strong relationship management experience in retail mortgage lending/originations;

•  Excellent knowledge of mortgage/loan processing operations including approval, funding and post funding sales and service activities;

•  Superior verbal and written communication skills, in particular presentation, facilitation and negotiating skills;

•  Strong work ethic, self-starting nature and high energy;

•  Registered with the applicable provincial regulatory authority as a mortgage "Agent" or  mortgage "Broker";

•  Excellent time management and organizational skills with flexibility in work approach, and ability to effectively manage competing priorities and timelines;

•  Very motivated and goal-oriented professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced, results-driven work environment;
