Senior Analyst, Reporting & Analytics

Macquarie's Banking & Financial Services Group is building its team of the most respected professionals in the industry as it strives towards its goal of becoming the leading provider of financial products and services to Canadians.  To support its growth, Macquarie's Banking & Financial Services Operations team is seeking results-driven individuals to assume the position of Senior Analyst, Reporting & Analytics in our Toronto office.

The Managing Analyst will be responsible for reporting, database management and analysis for one or several areas of support. There may be a need to provide cross functional support to the Broker Services team as well.

Reporting & Analytics, a division of the Banking and Financial Services Operations (BFS Ops) is responsible for developing innovative data management & reporting solutions. The team is directly responsible for providing business intelligence to any of our four internal clients: Mortgages, Premium Funding, Private Wealth and Equity Lending.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database management and data quality assurance;
• Produce and distribute regular daily, weekly and monthly reports;
• Respond to ad hoc requests;

• Support business decision through portfolio analysis;
• Build forecasting models and other analytical tools.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications will include:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
• 3 to 5 years experience in the financial services sector;
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
• Familiarity with any of Macquarie BFS' 4 business lines (mortgages, commercial lending, investment products, wealth management) is an asset;
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access skills;
• Desire to be a "hands-on" contributor;
• Strong team orientation and collaboration is a must;
• Ability to take initiative and work independently;
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills;
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with flexibility in work; approach, and ability to effectively manage competing priorities and timelines;
• Very motivated and goal-oriented professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced, results-driven work environment.
