Within Macquarie's dynamic environment, the Information Technology Group (ITG) is responsible for the management of Macquarie's global technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems and the delivery and development new systems, technologies and services.
ITG is committed to providing a challenging and technically diverse Summer Vacation Program in Sydney which runs for 12 weeks from December to February. The Summer Vacation Program is a paid internship and provides students with the opportunity to work full-time over the summer break.
As a summer student in ITG you will join an Infrastructure Technology Services or Account Management team and will benefit from hands-on experience, exposure to the financial services sector and an insight into the career opportunities offered at Macquarie.
Your problem-solving, client service and time management skills will be tested daily, as will your ability to adapt to an ever-changing and fast paced environment. You will be required to work closely with the business delivering front and back office solutions, in our non-hierarchical, open-plan offices.
Working with a range of technologies on a variety of business requirements will give you the opportunity to practically apply the skills you are developing at university. In addition to providing you with technical skills and experience, you will develop your interpersonal skills through working with other employees across Macquarie and attending induction, training and various social events.
At the conclusion of the Summer Vacation Program, ITG intends to offer graduate positions to those students who have performed well throughout the program.
Many of our summer students continue to work on a part-time basis when they return to university and then join us as graduates once they have completed their studies.
We invite applications from candidates looking to take their first IT career step in a progressive dynamic organisation. We are accepting applications from students in their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of study. To apply you will need to attach your cover letter, resume and academic transcript to the online application form.
