The Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie’s retail client base with operations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe.
Macquarie Relationship Banking (MRB), a unique division within BFS, offers a distinctly different banking experience and specialises in providing lending and deposit services to successful businesses and business owners across a range of industries. An outstanding opportunity exists for a team orientated individual to join the Collateral Management Team. In this varied role you will be responsible for the efficient and effective generation and management of loan documentation from credit approval through to settlement. This role is a six month contract with the potential to be extended for another six months
In performing this role, you will:
- deal with new and varied, consumer and commercial loan transactions;
- be required to interpret data from a variety of sources to ensure that documentation is prepared and issued in accordance with credit approvals;
- attend to settlements, liaising with external parties such as solicitors and other banks;
- ensure the legal enforceability of assets taken as security;
- provide advice to Relationship Managers in structuring of loan transactions, in addition to answering general queries;
- share responsibility for the cross checking of loan documentation prepared by others within the team.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- similar experience within a banking /conveyancing environment;
- settlements or loan documentation preparation experience
- strong written and verbal communication skills;
- attention to detail and strong analytical skills;
- the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise these effectively;
- a flexible and hands on approach with a team focus;
- ability to build effective relationships internally and externally;
- display drive, energy and be keen to take on new challenges.
