Technology is integral to that success, and delivery of leading edge technology solutions is critical to the success of the organisation. The Macquarie Securities IT division operates as a core part of the business and considered to be part of the front line. The division is co-located with the business in a fast paced and changing environment. As a consequence, we are currently looking for a motivated software developer based in Sydney to provide IT services to the Macquarie Securities business in Australia.
Working closely with the business along with internal and external technical stakeholders you will be responsible for:
- Developing Fidessa Order Management trading system
- Analysis, design, construction and validation of trading functions direct to a number of Stock Exchanges in the Australian and Asia Region
- Development of relevant compliance, reporting and monitoring functions to support all aspects of our Fidessa OMS Trading platform
- Working with other internal teams to establish connectivity to various other consuming systems of OMS trade data
- Establishing strong relationships with the business, other technical stakeholders and external counterparts to discuss systems issues and improvements
- Resolving operational issues and implementing preventative measures
- Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery testing
Ideally, you will have:
- Solid experience on Fidessa on various modules
- Proven IT development experience in front office systems
- A strong focus on detail, in particular, in relation to the testing phase of projects
- The ability to work well under pressure to provide timely and accurate solutions to system problems
- The desire to investigate the cause of problems and provide solutions to prevent re-occurrence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business.
- Ability to work as part of a local and regional team in supporting our OMS platform
From a technical point of view, you will have a proven track record in developing high performance Fidessa platform. Experience with one or more of the following would be highly regarded in this role:
- TCL, Java and scripting
- Fidessa Order management systems modules such as OMAR, TMAR, CTAC, BEAM, FDA, AMMA, Open Access
- Working with Exchange Line handlers and market data feeds such as RMDS or Bloomberg
