Summer Internships - Treasury & Commodities Group

We are looking for talented and ambitious individuals who want to accelerate their potential with speed and passion. When you join Macquarie as an intern, you will be joining a specific team based on your skills, experiences and interests.

Macquarie’s Treasury and Commodities Group is involved in a broad range of financial markets and trading activities. The Group’s services range from foreign exchange to trading agricultural products, natural gas, electricity and ethanol.

In the Americas, Macquarie is active in a broad range of financial and physical commodity markets, supported by our worldwide team of professionals who have an in-depth knowledge across a range of commodity sectors. In addition to offering risk management and trading services for agricultural and energy commodities, T&C also has extensive experience in price-making and derivative trading in base and precious metals.

We currently have internship opportunities available in the following Divisions:

  • Agricultural Commodities and Investor Products (marketing and sales)
  • Metals and Energy Capital (trading and structuring)

To be successful in this role you should:

  • Be highly numerate with strong analytical ability
  • Be a lateral thinker with commercial acumen and a proven ability to undertake comprehensive and diverse projects;
  • Be able to work well within a team and also function independently;
  • Have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills;
  • Have a strong interest in the financial markets
  • Preferably be studying business, finance, engineering, mathematics or similar
