In this role, you will deliver product accounting and associated P&L reporting / analysis for the trading activities within the wider organization. You will namely work for our Commodities & Financial Markets and Macquarie Securities divisions. The Product Control team is involved in providing daily P&L reporting, daily system and ledger reconciliations and controls, performing the month end and general ledger close. This team has close and efficient interaction with the Front Office, Middle Office and IT as well as other parts of Finance, including Financial Control, on a daily basis to ensure the timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting of our trading businesses.
Your responsibilities will include preparation and analysis of daily profit and loss reports, as well as reconciliation of daily cash movements and funding requirements. In addition, you will work through month-end activities including posting month end journals and review of intercompany balances.
To be considered for this role your background will include:
- Bachelor’s Degree, in accounting and/or finance
- CPA or CA qualification is a plus, but not a requirement
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferably related to accounting, audit, finance or finance experience in the banking industry
- Background in product control or financial services is an added advantage
