Macquarie Groups Corporate Operations Group (COG) is looking to hire a talented Business Operational Risk Manager (BORM), reporting to the global head & leading a small team, this person will take the lead on operational risks affecting our Market Operations Division (MOD) for the region. This expert global team work closely with the MOD teams, global BORMS and the Risk Management Group acting as advisors on the execution and monitoring of risk management practices, identifying operational issues and control breakdowns in MOD. Analysis and reporting of a variety risk information on a routine and exception basis for MOD. Reviewing and implementing group-wide and divisional policies and procedures.

Your role within this global team will be to manage the MOD BORM Asia team. Advise and review Risk and Control Risk Self-Assessment (RCSA). Work with the BORM Control Assurance team to provide assurance of the critical controls in MOD. Incident Reporting including investigation, recording, reporting and analysis, action management and escalation. Business Resilience including monitoring of compliance with policy and investigation/assistance when non-compliance reported. Conducting operational risk workshops and training. Reviewing new business approvals and proposals & running Global Ops Risk initiatives for MOD BORM as required.

To be successful in this position you will have experience in an operational risk management, within financial markets Operations management, ideally gained within Investment Banking. Ability to exercise initiative, deliver excellence with minimal supervision and be a strong people manager. You will have the ability to make high level judgments and work closely with peers/ senior management & a detailed knowledge of control processes and best practice in relevant controls.
