The Emerging Technology Advisory Service (ETAS) team is focused on the impact, as well as the application of emerging technologies on Macquarie’s business and investments. You will help us realize opportunities created by emerging technologies, educate our leaders and staff on the impacts of emerging technology, and build strong relationships with large and small technology companies around the world.
As the world transitions to a low carbon future, we are looking for an innovative and self-motivated Director for Emerging Energy Technology who can provide deep insight into how emerging technologies in energy – such as solar, batteries, wind, future-gen power plants, micro-grids, etc. will influence Macquarie businesses and the investments and opportunities we pursue. This is a new capability to assist established and emerging Macquarie businesses.
Reporting to the Division Director for Emerging Technologies, you will identify the potential disruption as well as opportunities arising from new energy technologies, across Macquarie Group. You will advise the Group on how these technologies will impact our Macquarie environment including both our current and future investments, and assist in the potential implementation of these new technologies across our businesses.
You will be supported in this task by a global team of technology and finance industry specialists.
The scope of this role is global and will span all Macquarie interests.
Your previous experience in emerging energy technologies will mean you bring an advanced understanding of the technology, commerciality, adoption forecasts and regulatory push for renewable energy.
