The Opportunity

Contributing to the success of building trusted and intimate relationships with clients, this is an opportunity for a motivated individual to work in the Strategic Advice Team with the Private Bank and Wealth Management Advisers to assist in the provision of strategic advice to new and existing clients. 

This role will suit a self-motivated professional who enjoys supporting Financial Advisers with providing sound technical advice. You will work in a dynamic environment that inspires collaboration and innovation and be afforded the opportunity to learn and develop your career in a supportive environment.

Reporting to the National Manager, Strategic Advice Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting MPB and MEL advisers with the delivery of wealth management and investment advice solutions
  • Supporting clients in taking a long term and in-depth generational perspective to build and sustain their wealth
  • Creating bespoke asset allocation and investment portfolios for clients aligned to their specific goals and needs
  • Providing a high quality client experience over their lifetime to support the delivery of Macquarie’s various solutions
  • Liaising with accountants, lawyers and other trusted advisers of our clients
  • Delivering bespoke investment and strategic advice to high net worth individuals and their families
  • Providing advice to clients to expand and grow the Private Bank offering
  • Contribute to a strong team environment with collaboration and cross referral activity and identifying appropriate third party relationships
  • Maintain your professional and technical standards, and meeting the requirements of our licence and risk management framework. We take great pride in the service we provide to our clients, and will expect you to achieve or exceed our client satisfaction measures


About You

To be considered for this position, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a commerce, banking, finance related discipline; Post-Graduate qualifications and CFP would be highly regarded
  • Previous client facing experience within a financial institution
  • A keen interest in wealth planning and delivering client solutions
  • Excellent organisation skills and an ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
  • A strong client servicing focus and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Be a strong team player
  • Attention to detail a must
